I've never mastered the art of eating chocolate in secret. From before I can remember until now, i've always managed to leave a trace of forbidden sweetness around my lips. I guess i'm just too eager to get all the chocolate goodness into my mouth!
I want the same to be true of my relationship with Christ. It is reported of Jonathan Edwards by one of his biographers that the noun that appears most in his preaching is 'sweet.' Christ was sweet to Edwards, Christ is sweet to the Christian, and like the contraband chocolate, i want as much as i can get!
In the darkest times of my life, Christ has been the sunrise, is the dullest, He has been sweeter still. Christ is sweet, let's enjoy Him together...
